Ambrosia Grill 1270 Front Street, Crescent City, CA.
Serves dinner. |
|
Recommended: Forestier Country Chicken - Twin breasts of chicken lightly sauteed w/grape tomatoes, mushrooms, olives and a hint of rosemary in a Marsala reduction served w/bacon and onion risotto and seasoned vegetables, caesar salad or blackbean soup (the blackbean soup was thick, creamy and delicious) ~ $16.95 ~ Savory, flavorful and quite delicious.

Bistro Garden 10 Anchor Way (in the harbor), Crescent City, CA. Phone: 707-464-5627
|

Recommended: Gorgonzola pasta with pecans - This homemade pasta is in a creamy gorgonzola sauce with green onions (not many), and pecans, served with sourdough bread & caesar salad or blackbean soup ~ $16.95 I thoroughly delighted in every bite. The gorgonzola gives the sauce a bite, but it's not overpowering. I saved about a third and had it for lunch the next day. Mmmm, good. My spouse had: Grilled salmon served with prawns and pico di gillo (the evening special) - The salmon comes grilled, topped with approx. 4 large prawns and has pico di gillo on top of that. He said it was very enjoyable, savory, cooked to perfection and he would order it again. (I didn't get the price, sorry.) We eat at Bistro Garden often and are always pleased with the presentation, ambiance, and price. We each ordered a glass of White Zinfandel (we will probably stick to Chardonnay next time), priced at $4.50 for an approximate six-ounce glass. Enjoy!! Chef Daniel is now serving lunch with many choices and a varied price range. I suggest you check it out.

Wing Wah 383 M St (in Safeway center), Crescent City, CA. Phone: 707-465-3935
Serves lunch and dinner, has dining in, take out, lunch specials, birthday, partey and events, beer and wine. |
|
The restaurant was recently updated and is clean and pleasant. My husband and I especially like the Spicy-Garlic Chicken, the Mongolian Beef and order Tsing Tao beer. Wing Wah is able to handle large parties, but its best to call ahead in that instance.

Tomasini's Enoteca 960 3rd Street, Crescent City, CA. Phone: 707-464-2909 Serves lunch and dinner, has live music on Friday nights.
|
Building was recently remodeled, is clean with a bistro feel. I eat at Tomasini's at least one lunch a week, sometimes more. Every item I have had is delicious and presented well; I especially like their soup. The restaurant has a bistro feel to it and has a nice wine list of California and Oregon wines. There is live music on Friday nights. The restaurant sports an anitique bar and shares its location with a gift shop. In my opinion the prices are good, the ambiance is inviting and the food is delicious.
